A stunning set of four 'Trinidad' chairs by Dainish designer Nanna Ditzel for Fredericia Stolefabrik.
Nanna Ditzel was one of the most versatile and creative female designers that Denmark produced in the 20th century. She had a staggering array of talents which she brought in the form of jewelry, tableware, furniture and textiles. And in making these pieces she drew inspiration from a variety of materials; such as wood, wicker, silver and ceramics.
The 'Trinidad' range was produced in the 1990's and certain models are still made to this day. the name was given because of the fretwork of facades in Trinidad, seen by her on trips to the island, and this had been the initial inspiration for the design. The fan backrest provides ideal comfort, as well as beauty, for when sat around the dinner table.
These chairs are in good vintage condition. The seat and backrest show signs of age and use, with some ware on the edges of the ply. The chair legs have some scuffing to them and some of the finish has come away but this is minor and not very visible. All in all they have a really lovely appearance and really appealing to the eye.
